Since its opening in 2001, the Dolphin Mall has been a paradise for shoppers in Miami: A whopping 36 million people visit the mall every year. And rightfully so: Here you can go shopping in an area of 18 football fields, choose from a wide variety of restaurants and even go to the movies. A bowling alley, laser tag and a kids´ club make the Dolphin Mall perfect for families. Amazing discounts and exciting events further enhance the shopping experience. And even if you do not need anything, the mall’s enormous size is reason enough for visitors to stop by at least once.
The Dolphin Mall is divided into 3 zones and features a staggering 240 shops. Luckily, maps are placed at strategic locations, so you can easily find your store.
A majority of the mall’s shops specialize in clothing. Here, there is something for every age group, occasion and budget: from discounters like H&M, Forever 21 and Ross Dress for Less to renowned brands like Tommy Hilfiger, Hugo Boss and Victoria’s Secret – accompanied by sports giants ADIDAS, Nike and Reebok. German shoppers will love to hear that on average, prices are slightly lower than in Germany.
The mall’s boutiques sell jewelry, purses, beauty products and everything else a woman needs – fore example, bikinis, perfume and new nails. Electronic fans feel right at home at Digital Universe, and for the newest console and PC titles, browse the shelves at GameStop. Samsung and Apple also offer their newest devices at the mall.
The gigantic music store Sam Ash has everything from electric guitars and keyboards to drums and whole turntables for DJs. Outdoor fans who love fishing, hunting, hiking and camping can spend hours at the Bass Pro Shop.
Other specialty stores at the Dolphin Mall include:
Of course, there is no reason to go home once your shopping trip is over. At Bowlero you can enjoy yourself with bowling and laser tag. Alternatively, play a game of pool or air hockey at Dave & Buster’s. The newest blockbusters are shown at Cobb Dolphin 19 Cinemas, a movie theater with comfortable seats, high-tech screens and a wide variety of snacks. Cool de Sac is the perfect place for families with children. This restaurant features a giant playground with fun workshops, experiments and sports activities. Thanks to the attentive staff, parents can relax and enjoy their meal while their children are playing.

If you want to stay close to the Dolphin Mall, you can choose between 4 hotels.
Located right in front of the mall is the Courtyard by Marriott Miami Hotel. Thanks to its own business center, this 3-star-hotel is particularly popular with business travelers. More amenities include a gym, an outdoor pool and magnificent views of Miami’s skyline.
Also located nearby is the Hilton Garden Inn with its spacious rooms, excellent barbecue restaurant and free shuttle service to the Dolphin mall. And if you want to have your own kitchen, you should check out the Hollywood Suited by Hilton.
Just a 3 minute ride away, the modern Nuvo Suites Hotel features a rooftop pool and bar as well as huge breakfast buffets. All these hotels can also be reached quickly from Miami airport.
Special sales on Thanksgiving, Memorial Day, Mother’s Day and other holidays are not the only events at the Dolphin Mall.
In April, the Easter Bunny invites little guests on an Easter egg hunt, while Caribbean vibes await you at the Havana Nights fest in summer. Then, you cannot only watch Salsa dancers, but also learn how to roll cigars by hand. On Halloween, the Dolphin Mall turns into a spook-tastic place with trick or treating, face painting and costume contests for children.
If you want to get into festive mood, you should visit the mall in November and December. At Santa’s Flight Academy children can take pictures with Santa Clause before singing and dancing with cute elves. Even dogs get their Christmas shooting plus a gift bag, and every night, there is artificial snowfall in front of Tommy Hilfiger. New Year’s Eve is celebrated with buffets, champagne, a DJ and a magic show.
The Dolphin Mall is located in West Miami, just a 15 minute drive from the airport. Thanks to 8.500 free parking spots, arriving by car is no problem at all. Alternatively, guests can take the shuttle bus from Miami International Airport as well as selected hotels. However, a return ticket costs at least 10 USD – twice as much as Miami’s public buses.
The Dolphin Mall is open Monday to Saturday from 10 am to 9.30 pm (11 am to 8 pm on Sundays). On holidays, different opening times apply.
In the Dolphin Mall you will find more than 240 shops and restaurants on a sales area of approx. 130,000 m².
Miami International Airport is less than 10 miles or 15 minutes from the Dolphin Mall.
The Dolphin Mall is even one of the largest outlet malls in the USA. The term “outlet” should not be confused with a “factory outlet”, in which only the products of one manufacturer are sold directly from the factory. In the Dolphin Mall you will find numerous retailers who offer goods at reduced prices.
In any case, the mall is huge and has a variety of shops. It is clear and well structured.
The Courtyard by Marriott is located on the grounds of the Dolphin Mall. The Homewood Suites by Hilton or the Hilton Garden Inn are also within walking distance.
